Overview

42dot is hiring a Senior MCU System Engineer to develop high-performance MCU-based control systems for SDV. You'll work with technologies like ARM Cortex-M and ISO 26262 compliance. This position requires experience in embedded software development and communication interfaces.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in embedded software development, particularly in projects related to automotive systems. Your background includes working with communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and UART, which are crucial for high-speed data transmission in MCU systems. You possess a deep understanding of ARM Cortex-M architecture and multi-core MCU system control, enabling you to design and implement robust software solutions. Your familiarity with ISO 26262 compliance ensures that you can contribute to safety-critical applications effectively. You are well-versed in Real Time Operating Systems, allowing you to develop responsive and reliable system software for automotive applications.

Desirable

Experience with functional safety processes, particularly ISO 26262, is a plus. You have a solid grasp of vehicle regulations and can implement logic for cluster telltales and other legal requirements. Your ability to manage external watchdogs and implement kick logic demonstrates your proactive approach to system reliability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing core system software for high-performance MCU-based zonal controllers in self-driving vehicles. You will implement processing and transmission logic for critical driving data, ensuring reliable communication of vehicle speed and warning signals. Your work will involve developing safety SBC/PMIC control drivers based on SPI/I2C communication, which is essential for managing system states and configurations. You will also design and implement software safety mechanisms to achieve safety goals, such as ASIL compliance, ensuring that the system operates reliably even in mission-critical situations.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software meets both performance and safety standards. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and safety of the vehicle's operation, making your role crucial in the development of advanced automotive technologies. You will also participate in the interview process, which includes a combination of document screening, video interviews, and live coding tests to assess candidates for similar roles.

What we offer

At 42dot, we provide a dynamic work environment where innovation and collaboration are at the forefront. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the automotive sector, contributing to the development of systems that enhance vehicle safety and performance. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and skills. Join us in shaping the future of mobility at 42dot, where your expertise will help drive the next generation of automotive solutions.
