Who you are

You have over 13 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in the electronics sector. Your background includes a strong understanding of BOM cost management and cost analysis, enabling you to drive strategic sourcing decisions effectively. You have a proven track record in supplier selection and evaluation, as well as negotiating competitive pricing to enhance cost efficiency.

Your expertise extends to managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring consistency from development to mass production. You are skilled in collaborating with R&D, quality, production, and finance teams to support decision-making and optimize procurement strategies. You understand the nuances of cost engineering and are adept at conducting spec-to-cost analyses to achieve target costs during the development phase.

Desirable

Experience with sourcing strategies for automotive components such as wire harnesses and connectors is a plus. You may also have a background in engineering or product development, which complements your procurement expertise. Familiarity with ERP, SCM, or MES systems is preferred, as is certification in CPSM or Six Sigma.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the procurement and cost management function within the SDV and electronic component development organization. Your responsibilities will include managing the procurement process and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with annual and long-term purchasing plans. You will standardize and improve procurement processes based on ERP, SCM, and MES systems.

You will design and manage BOM cost structures at the vehicle, system, and module levels, conducting cost breakdown analyses to develop improvement strategies. You will also establish a long-term cost reduction roadmap and execute it effectively. Your role will involve developing sourcing strategies for electronic components, identifying new suppliers, and evaluating their technical and cost competitiveness.

You will oversee supplier management, ensuring performance is evaluated based on quality, delivery, cost, and technical capabilities. You will lead negotiations to achieve favorable pricing based on a thorough understanding of supplier cost structures. Additionally, you will drive initiatives to improve initial defect rates and production quality issues, fostering long-term partnerships with suppliers.
