Devops Engineer • Lead

Who you are

You are a seasoned infrastructure consultant with a strong background in designing and building enterprise-level hosting platforms. You have a deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies. Your expertise in DevOps principles and agile methodologies allows you to lead infrastructure and operations effectively. You are proficient in scripting with at least one language and have experience building Linux and/or Windows server systems. You have worked with continuous integration tools across various technology stacks, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

You enjoy collaborating with team members across the organization and have a knack for communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences. You thrive on creating powerful, scalable, and flexible solutions that help transform businesses and industries. You can easily work with infrastructure technicians, support and network analysts, security analysts, system administrators, and IT managers to design technical strategies while collaborating with senior IT teams in a consulting capacity.

Desirable

Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools would be a plus, as would familiarity with observability patterns and monitoring systems for stress and performance testing. You are eager to learn and grow, and you appreciate the support of colleagues who are willing to help you advance your career.

What you'll do

In this role, you will initiate projects through practical implementation, assess and drive improvements in existing infrastructure, and listen to client needs to develop technical roadmaps and effective solutions that support their challenging business goals. You will collaborate with business development, marketing, and functional development teams to shape and build Thoughtworks' cloud and infrastructure practices. You will ensure and establish controls and processes for continuous delivery of applications, considering all stages of the process and their automation.

You will monitor and ensure that technical expectations for deliverables are consistently met on projects. Acting as a thought leader in DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure engineering, you will build trust and thoughtful partnerships with clients' CIOs, CTOs, and relevant teams. You will propose innovative solutions in response to current constraints and business strategy adjustments, ensuring that your contributions lead to successful outcomes for clients.
