AbCellera is hiring a Principal Scientist in In Vivo Pharmacology to lead preclinical development of antibody-based drug candidates. You'll work on designing and interpreting pharmacology studies to support clinical development. This role requires a strong background in biologics and preclinical research.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in preclinical development of biologics in an industry setting — your experience has equipped you with the skills to lead internal preclinical in vivo pharmacology studies effectively. You are passionate about understanding how models can predict therapeutic action in human disease, and you thrive in collaborative environments where scientific rigor is paramount.
You possess a deep understanding of in vivo pharmacology and have a proven track record of designing and executing studies that generate proof-of-concept data. Your analytical skills allow you to evaluate available data sets and identify suitable animal models for new targets, building testable biological hypotheses that you can assess preclinically.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead internal preclinical in vivo pharmacology studies to support programs around various disease indications. You will design, support execution, and interpret studies to build confidence in the selection of molecules for clinical development. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external CROs, you will ensure that the development of antibody-based drug candidates is efficient and effective.
You will be responsible for evaluating data sets to identify animal models and build hypotheses for new targets, contributing to the overall success of the programs. Your work will directly impact the speed and risk associated with moving programs to the clinic, making your role crucial in the development of breakthrough medicines.
