Acumen is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead initiatives advancing inclusive enterprise growth across East and West Africa. This role requires at least 8 years of experience in managing complex, multi-partner programs.

You are a seasoned program manager with at least eight years of experience leading the delivery of complex, multi-partner programs. You have a strategic mindset and a proven track record of advancing inclusive enterprise growth, particularly in challenging environments. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with various stakeholders, and you possess an ownership mindset that drives accountability and results. You are learning-oriented, reflective, and adaptive, always seeking to improve processes and outcomes. Your pragmatic approach ensures that you remain focused on achieving tangible results that benefit entrepreneurial ecosystems. You thrive in environments that require strong leadership and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead a multi-country, grant-funded growth portfolio, working closely with partners to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems across East and West Africa. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-informed results that enable enterprise growth, ensuring that programs are aligned with Acumen's mission of building a world based on dignity. You will oversee the implementation of initiatives, manage relationships with stakeholders, and ensure that all projects are executed effectively and efficiently. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of the Green RISE Africa program, which focuses on supporting early-stage social enterprises in the African green economy. You will also be expected to work in the office three days a week, fostering collaboration and teamwork among your colleagues.
