You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can break down larger projects into manageable tasks. Your ability to articulate technical challenges and trade-offs makes you a valuable partner in ideation sessions with product management and design teams. You are proactive in monitoring the performance of your team's artifacts and are comfortable supporting on-call efforts to maintain operational availability.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the PMI team, you will design, develop, and maintain APIs that facilitate integrations with Enterprise Merchants. You will collaborate closely with product management and design to ensure that the solutions you build meet the needs of both merchants and consumers. Your role will involve contributing to the entire API lifecycle, from initial design through testing and deployment, ensuring that the solutions are robust and reliable.

You will engage in growth and development activities, including participating in the interview process to help build a strong engineering team. Your contributions will directly impact the checkout experience for users, making it seamless and efficient. You will also be responsible for creating and monitoring metrics to assess the performance of your APIs, escalating issues as necessary to ensure high availability and reliability.
