AKQA is hiring a People & Culture Business Partner to lead HR initiatives that support recruitment, retention, and development of talent across their New Zealand studios. This role requires strong HR expertise and a people-first approach.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in human resources, ideally with experience as an HR Business Partner. You understand the importance of employee relations and are skilled in managing the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exits. Your approach is both compliant and compassionate, ensuring that policies are applied consistently while prioritizing the employee experience.
You are proactive in identifying development needs and supporting succession planning. You thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering closely with managers across various disciplines to enhance employee engagement and performance. Your ability to balance compliance with a thoughtful, people-first approach sets you apart in the HR field.
Desirable
Experience in a technology or creative industry is a plus, as is familiarity with HRIS implementation. You are comfortable working in a hybrid model, adapting to both in-studio and remote work environments. What you'll do
As a People & Culture Business Partner at AKQA, you will lead HR initiatives that drive the recruitment, retention, and development of talent across our New Zealand studios. You will work closely with leaders to manage employee relations and performance, ensuring that our people are supported and developed effectively. Your role will involve advising on employee experience opportunities and challenges, helping to create a positive workplace culture.
You will manage the full employee lifecycle alongside the People Coordinator, ensuring smooth onboarding processes and consistent policy application. Your expertise will guide leaders in navigating employee relations matters and supporting key People cycles. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining and improving People policies, processes, and systems, ensuring they align with best practices and the needs of our workforce.
In addition, you will support HRIS implementation, contributing to the development of systems that enhance our HR capabilities. Your insights will help shape the future of our talent management strategies, ensuring that AKQA remains a leader in fostering a supportive and innovative workplace.
