Who you are

You are an entry-level technician with a keen interest in data center operations and infrastructure management. You have a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and you are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in team settings and are ready to collaborate with experienced professionals to ensure the reliability and availability of critical systems. You are detail-oriented and capable of monitoring and recording information accurately to support operational goals. You understand the importance of safety and compliance in a data center environment and are committed to following established protocols. You are open to feedback and continuously seek to improve your skills and knowledge in the field of data center operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, ensuring that systems are operational 24/7. You will monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS) to maintain optimal performance. Assisting in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events will be a key responsibility, as you work within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA) to resolve issues promptly. You will also be involved in rack installations and decommissioning, ensuring that these processes adhere to internal SLAs. Your role will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. Additionally, you will engage in technical writing to support the change management program and monitor daily work requests, managing them to resolution.
