Who you are
You have a strong background in data center operations and management, with a proven track record of ensuring high availability and reliability in a fast-paced environment. Your experience includes creating and implementing strategies that enhance operational efficiency and service levels. You possess excellent people management skills, having mentored teams at various levels and driven projects to successful completion.
Your technical understanding encompasses hardware and network diagnostics, allowing you to effectively lead teams in troubleshooting and physical repairs. You are adept at creating documentation and innovating solutions to complex problems within the data center space. Your organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks are critical to your success in this role, as is your capacity to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the AWS Data Center Operations team, ensuring that all data center activities meet or exceed defined service levels. You will be responsible for overseeing hardware and network diagnostics, guiding your team through physical repairs, and participating in an on-call rotation to address urgent issues. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
You will also be involved in site-level project work, collaborating with various stakeholders to implement technical solutions that enhance operational capabilities. Your ability to react quickly to challenges and your commitment to maintaining high standards will be essential as you work to keep the cloud running smoothly.
