You have a strong background in operations management, particularly within data center environments, and possess the ability to oversee critical physical infrastructure. Your experience includes managing teams and ensuring high availability and performance while adhering to safety protocols and service level agreements. You are skilled in driving a culture of safety and compliance, and you excel at coaching and promoting team members to foster a productive work environment.
You understand the complexities of data center operations and are adept at managing on-site teams, including technicians and subcontractors. Your leadership style emphasizes collaboration and communication, allowing you to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders across AWS. You are committed to maintaining high standards of quality in all work performed within the data center, ensuring minimal impact on internal and external customers.
Desirable
Experience with AWS infrastructure and a strong understanding of supply chain management are highly desirable. Familiarity with safety and security protocols in a data center setting will set you apart as a candidate. You may also have certifications related to facility management or operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the data centerβs critical physical infrastructure, ensuring that it operates at peak performance. You will manage a team of 24x7 shift technicians, ensuring that all work performed aligns with established practices and safety protocols. Your responsibilities will include driving a culture of safety and compliance within your team, as well as hiring, coaching, and promoting team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
You will collaborate with various teams across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers. Your role will involve addressing complex challenges that impact the supply chain, requiring you to think critically and strategically to find effective solutions. You will also be responsible for maintaining service level agreements and ensuring that all operations are conducted with high quality and efficiency.
