Experience in a 24/7 operational environment is a plus, as is familiarity with on-call rotations. You are proactive in creating documentation and innovating solutions to complex problems. Your ability to develop career paths for employees and manage performance across different locations is essential for fostering a productive team atmosphere.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be operationally responsible for a data center, overseeing the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals. You will prioritize and assign trouble tickets to technicians and operators, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently. Your responsibilities will include recruiting and training data technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels and managing day-to-day operations, including queue management and hardware logistics. You will also participate in site-level project work, contributing to the continuous improvement of data center operations.
You will be expected to act as a subject matter expert across all aspects of data center operations, quickly learning and adapting to new challenges. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that the team operates effectively in a 24/7 environment, including managing shift arrangements and logistics. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance operational efficiency and team performance.
