You are physically capable of handling the demands of the job, including lifting and moving equipment as needed. You are adaptable and willing to work a rotating schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

You have a foundational understanding of hardware and network systems, enabling you to perform diagnostics and repairs efficiently. Your problem-solving skills allow you to innovate solutions and tackle complex issues that arise in the data center environment. You are detail-oriented, ensuring that documentation is created and maintained accurately. You are eager to participate in site-level project work and contribute to the overall success of the team.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall availability and reliability of data center operations. You will perform hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repairs to resolve issues that impact service availability. Your role will involve installing equipment and creating documentation to support operational processes. You will participate in a primary responder rotation, quickly addressing any incidents that arise during your assigned shifts. Your ability to react swiftly and effectively will be critical in maintaining service levels.

You will work in a dynamic environment that operates 24/7, requiring you to adapt to various challenges and collaborate with team members to find solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of the data center, making you an integral part of the infrastructure operations team. You will also have opportunities to engage in site-level projects, enhancing your skills and knowledge in data center management.
