You are a motivated individual with a strong interest in technology and data center operations. You possess the ability to perform hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repairs, ensuring the overall availability and reliability of data center operations. You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication and organizational skills. You are willing to work a rotating schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, and you are physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including lifting and moving equipment.
You have a foundational understanding of hardware and network systems, and you are eager to learn and innovate solutions within the data center space. Your ability to react quickly to issues and prioritize tasks is critical to your success in this role. You thrive in environments that operate 24/7 and are prepared to participate in primary responder rotations to resolve service availability issues.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of data center operations. You will perform hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repairs, to maintain service levels. Your role will include installing equipment, creating documentation, and participating in site-level project work. You will be designated as a primary responder during your assigned shifts, rapidly resolving issues that impact service availability. You will also be involved in fixing complex problems within the data center space, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
You will work closely with your team to prioritize tasks and ensure that all operational goals are met. Your responsibilities will require you to be adaptable and ready to tackle challenges as they arise, ensuring that the data center operates smoothly and efficiently. You will also have opportunities to innovate solutions and improve processes within the data center environment.
