Who you are

You are an ambitious Economist with a strong background in econometrics and statistical analysis. You have experience creating insights from massive datasets and are comfortable using state-of-the-art scientific computing techniques. Your ability to embed causal interpretations into statistical tools sets you apart, and you are eager to contribute to impactful decisions at Amazon.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with a diverse team of economists, applied scientists, and data professionals. Your strong analytical skills allow you to derive insights from descriptive statistics and novel econometric models. You are also familiar with machine learning techniques and understand how to apply them in a business context.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to write strategic documents that guide senior leaders in utilizing insights for sustainable customer value. You are passionate about making data-driven decisions and are excited about the opportunity to publish your work in scientific journals and conferences.

Desirable

Experience with automated scientific data products is a plus, as is familiarity with the e-commerce industry. You are open to learning new methodologies and tools that can enhance your work and contribute to the success of Amazon Prime.

What you'll do

In this role, you will create econometric insights that inform key decisions for Amazon Prime, impacting millions of customers worldwide. You will develop statistical tools that provide causal interpretations and utilize large datasets to drive your analyses. Your work will involve collaborating with product managers and software/data engineers to create internal data products that support company decisions.

You will be responsible for writing strategic documents that explain how insights can be leveraged by senior leaders.
