Desirable
Experience with data center operations or similar environments is a plus — familiarity with diesel generators, UPS systems, and three-phase electrical systems will help you excel in this role. What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers — your responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting critical electrical and mechanical systems. You will work with standby diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and various cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, keeping the digital world running smoothly.
You will collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists, to address challenges and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Your role will involve hands-on work, requiring you to be proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions. You will also participate in routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring that all systems are functioning as intended.
In addition to technical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and share your insights with the team.
