You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you understand the importance of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure and are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Your hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, such as three-phase electrical systems, UPSs, and generators, will be invaluable in this role. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring operational excellence, contributing to an extraordinary 99.999% uptime for our data centers.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure that powers our data centers — your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently. You will work with standby diesel generators, cooling systems, and various electrical components, contributing to the overall reliability of our facilities.

You will be part of a dedicated team that supports AWS data centers, collaborating with software, hardware, and network engineers to solve complex problems. Your hands-on approach will be essential in performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of operational excellence. You will also participate in training sessions to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of data center operations.
