Job Description
Who you are
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — your hands-on experience allows you to troubleshoot complex equipment effectively. You understand the importance of maintaining mission-critical infrastructure and are committed to ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. Your expertise in electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, UPSs, and generators, makes you a valuable asset to the team. You thrive in environments where you can apply your technical skills to solve real-world problems and contribute to the reliability of data center operations.
Desirable
Experience with diesel generators and fuel systems is a plus, as is familiarity with cooling systems such as CRAC units and centrifugal chillers. You are eager to learn and grow within the field, and you are open to collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and specialists.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. Your responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting mission-critical facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to address any issues that arise, contributing to our goal of achieving 99.999% uptime. Your role will involve hands-on work with electrical and mechanical equipment, including switch gear, PDUs, and air handlers, ensuring that all systems are maintained to the highest standards.
You will also be responsible for monitoring equipment performance and conducting regular maintenance checks to prevent downtime. Collaborating with your team, you will help implement best practices for data center operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly will be essential in keeping our digital world running smoothly.
