You are a bright and adaptable individual with a strong technical aptitude across a wide range of IT software, hardware, and networking disciplines. Your passion for helping people solve IT problems drives you to provide timely and professional assistance to Amazon employees.
You have experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, and you are comfortable deploying and troubleshooting these environments. Your familiarity with networking concepts allows you to effectively support LAN issues and ensure seamless connectivity for users. Additionally, you have a keen interest in AV systems, particularly in managing large or complex integrated systems.
What you'll do
As an IT Support Engineer at Amazon, you will provide in-person desktop support for employees in the Hong Kong office. Your responsibilities will include managing routine processes such as new hire onboarding, computer lifecycle management, and asset management. You will also be involved in computer imaging, hardware warranty support, and hardware recycling, ensuring that all IT equipment is functioning optimally.
You will collaborate with other internal IT technical service owners to uphold system SLAs and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for production support issues. Your role will require you to troubleshoot various IT problems, from basic desktop issues to more complex networking challenges, ensuring that employees receive the support they need to perform their jobs effectively.
