Who you are
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on robotics, having designed and troubleshot custom robotics systems from the ground up. Your analytical problem-solving skills are complemented by practical knowledge of robotic design, fabrication, assembly, and rapid prototyping. You thrive in interdisciplinary environments and have experience leading the development of complex electro-mechanical systems. Your passion for innovation drives you to push the boundaries of what's possible in robotic manipulation and human-robot interaction.
You enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, ensuring that product designs are executed from concept to production. Your experience includes working closely with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality organizations to facilitate smooth product launches. You are detail-oriented and take ownership of the design and performance of robotics systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
Desirable
Experience with AI integration in robotics systems is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced control systems. A background in automation solutions that work safely alongside humans will set you apart. You are comfortable with rapid prototyping and have a track record of scaling designs to production.
What you'll do
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Amazon, you will be at the forefront of developing the next generation of robotics systems that will transform automation at Amazon's scale. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, including specification, design, prototyping, validation, and testing. You will be the owner of the detailed design and performance of robotics systems, ensuring they are innovative and complex hardware solutions.
Your role will involve collaborating with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality organizations, as well as vendors, to ensure a smooth product launch. You will write functional specifications and work on troubleshooting and refining designs to meet operational needs. Your contributions will directly impact the future of robotics and automation at Amazon, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in this exciting field.

Amazon provides a competitive salary range of $137,300.00 - $185,700.00 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, vision, and prescription coverage, as well as options for supplemental life plans.
