Amazon is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support the Devices & Services business in Japan. You'll provide legal counsel on product launches, marketing initiatives, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a law degree and a license to practice in Japan.

Who you are
You are a motivated attorney with a law degree from a reputable university and licensed to practice law in Japan. You have a strong interest in technology and enjoy working hard while being continually challenged. You demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations and are client-service oriented, able to think big while paying great attention to detail on tight deadlines.
You possess excellent communication skills and can provide counsel directly to senior leadership on both legal and business issues. You are comfortable working with people at all levels and can prioritize appropriately, easily switching gears without sacrificing the quality of your work. You maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be the primary attorney responsible for new product launches and marketing initiatives for Amazon's Devices & Services business in Japan. You will provide day-to-day legal counseling on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, structure, draft, and negotiate agreements, and resolve pre-litigation disputes and inquiries. You will work closely with US and other international legal and business teams worldwide, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting the business's strategic goals.
You will be an integral part of the business, collaborating with various teams to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into product development and marketing strategies. Your role will involve advising on regulatory compliance issues and helping to navigate complex legal landscapes as new products are launched. You will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and providing timely and effective legal advice to support business objectives.
