Who you are
You have over 12 years of legal experience, ideally with a focus on technology law and AI regulations. Your background includes working in-house at a company, in government, or at a law firm, giving you a well-rounded perspective on legal issues in the tech industry. You possess strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into business strategies. You are comfortable diving deep into complex legal frameworks and are passionate about shaping AI policy in a rapidly evolving landscape.
What you'll do
As the Associate General Counsel at OpenAI, you will analyze laws and regulations in Japan and the broader Asia Pacific region concerning AI. Your insights will help the company understand the impact of these regulations on its operations and the AI community at large. You will develop policy positions on pending legislation, providing legal analysis and advice to the Global Affairs team and other internal stakeholders. Your role will involve monitoring emerging legislative and regulatory developments related to AI, ensuring that OpenAI remains compliant and proactive in its approach to governance.
