Job Description
Who you are
You are an experienced Operations Engineer with a strong background in managing complex projects within supply chain environments. You have a customer-obsessed mindset and are skilled at collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project lifecycles is key to your success in this role.
You possess a solid understanding of the technologies and design approaches used in fulfillment and distribution centers. Your expertise allows you to effectively plan and implement facility network infrastructure, including new builds and expansions. You are proactive in identifying risks and managing project scopes to meet timelines and minimize disruptions.
Your strong communication skills enable you to engage effectively with various stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. You thrive in environments that require regional travel, as you are comfortable managing projects across multiple locations.
Desirable
Experience with advanced technologies in supply chain management is a plus. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools will enhance your ability to deliver successful outcomes.
What you'll do
As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead the lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of our supply chain. You will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative sortation and distribution solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Your role will involve collaborating with talented engineers and stakeholders to design and implement effective facility network infrastructure.
You will manage technology or integration projects, ensuring that solutions are delivered on time and meet project goals. This includes working directly with external equipment vendors and partners to facilitate successful project execution. You will proactively mitigate risks and keep the scope of engineering deliverables under control, ensuring that all project milestones are achieved.
Your responsibilities will also include planning for new builds, retrofits, and expansions, as well as engaging with internal customers to ensure a smooth handover of completed projects. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of Amazon's supply chain operations through your leadership and expertise.
