Who you are
You have a strong background in security engineering and have spent at least 5 years leading teams in building and managing access control systems. Your experience includes designing and implementing security protocols that ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data. You are adept at mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment, helping your team grow both technically and professionally.
You possess a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and have worked extensively with AWS or similar platforms. Your expertise in policy-based authorization systems allows you to navigate complex security challenges, ensuring that access controls are both effective and user-friendly. You are a strategic thinker who can balance security needs with operational efficiency, enabling teams to work productively without compromising safety.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for Access Management, you will lead a team of security engineers focused on developing and maintaining the systems that control access to Anthropic's infrastructure and AI systems. You will own the technical roadmap for the authorization engine and access-request platform, ensuring that these systems scale effectively as the company grows. Your role will involve close collaboration with IT, Security, and engineering teams to implement best practices in access management.
You will be responsible for hiring and developing your team, creating a culture of accountability and innovation. You will mentor your engineers, guiding them through complex projects and helping them to achieve their career goals.
