Who you are

You have a strong background in CAD engineering, with experience in physical design verification flows and methodologies. You understand the importance of every detail in the design process and have a passion for building elegant solutions to complex challenges. Your expertise includes developing and maintaining rule decks for design rule checks (DRC) and layout versus schematic (LVS) runsets. You are familiar with collaborating across teams, including custom digital, analog, and mixed-signal design, as well as chip integration. You have a good understanding of machine learning and its applications in automation, which adds value to your engineering skill set.

What you'll do

As a CAD Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and improving physical design verification flows. You will coordinate efforts to validate flows and enhance custom checks while generating data to facilitate the chip design process. Your role will involve coding custom PDV rule decks, ensuring that the designs meet the required specifications. You will work closely with design and physical design teams to streamline the chip design process, contributing to the development of next-generation processors that power Apple devices. You will also have opportunities to innovate by developing machine learning-based automations and solutions that enhance the efficiency of the design process.
