You have a strong background in embedded firmware development, particularly for wireless systems — your experience includes working with System on a Chip (SoC) architectures and implementing firmware for RF and PHY functionalities. You are proficient in C programming and have a solid understanding of signal processing algorithms, which allows you to contribute effectively to the development of high-performance wireless products.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including RF/Analog architecture and design, systems engineering, and manufacturing. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between firmware and software teams, ensuring seamless integration and productization of silicon.

Your experience with calibration techniques and testing methodologies equips you to develop robust SoC test and calibration capabilities. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of performance tuning in delivering high-quality firmware solutions.

Desirable

Experience with energy-efficient design principles and new wireless technologies is a plus. Familiarity with industry-standard tools for firmware development and testing will enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Wireless RF PHY Firmware Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing embedded firmware that enables wireless connectivity in our cutting-edge products. You will collaborate with product software and manufacturing teams to provide system-level API and firmware functionality, ensuring that our silicon meets productization needs.

Your role will involve working on PHY bring up and RF calibrations, where you will implement signal processing algorithms and performance tuning strategies. You will also develop SoC test and calibration capabilities for wafer, module, and system factories, contributing to the overall success of our wireless products.

You will engage with RF/Radio design, DVT, PHY, and system engineering teams to ensure that firmware solutions align with hardware capabilities and product requirements. Your contributions will have a direct impact on getting functional wireless products to hundreds of millions of customers, making your work both challenging and rewarding.
