Who you are

You have a strong background in embedded firmware development, particularly for wireless systems — your experience includes working with System on a Chip (SoC) architectures and implementing firmware for RF and PHY functionalities. You are proficient in C and C++, and you understand the intricacies of signal processing algorithms and their application in real-world scenarios.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams — your ability to communicate effectively with product software and manufacturing teams ensures that you can meet productization needs efficiently. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for developing energy-efficient designs that enhance user experiences.

Your experience includes developing calibration capabilities for SoC testing and validation — you are familiar with the challenges of bringing up new silicon and have a track record of successfully enabling wireless connectivity in products. You are adaptable and eager to learn about new technologies that can transform wireless communication.

Desirable

Experience with RF/Analog architecture and design is a plus — you understand the principles of RF design and how they integrate with firmware development. Familiarity with VLSI/RTL design and integration can also enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a core member of the Wireless SoC firmware team, focusing on PHY bring up and RF calibrations — you will craft and implement embedded firmware that enables wireless connectivity in Apple products. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with RF/Radio design, DVT, and system engineering teams to provide system-level API and firmware functionality.

You will develop SoC test and calibration capabilities for wafer, module, and system factories — your work will directly impact the productization of silicon and systems, ensuring that they meet Apple's high standards for performance and reliability. You will also be involved in performance tuning and signal processing algorithm implementation, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the wireless systems.
