Who you are

You have a strong background in hardware engineering, particularly in CPU validation and debugging. Your experience includes working closely with CPU RTL and DV teams to understand design changes and engineer effective test content for new CPU features. You are skilled in developing software workloads to stress test CPUs and integrating these into existing validation environments. Your familiarity with embedded Linux and silicon validation tools allows you to drive the bring-up and execution of validation tools in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail, which are essential for identifying logic design and circuit bugs. Your ability to create comprehensive CPU validation test plans ensures that all key features are thoroughly covered. You thrive in collaborative environments, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet Apple's standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the center of a chip design effort, collaborating with various disciplines to ensure the functional validation of CPUs. You will develop CPU test content using test generators and define new test cases for cutting-edge CPU designs. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and improving random test generators by adding support for new CPU architectural and microarchitectural features. You will also drive the bring-up and execution of silicon validation tools, working with both FPGAs and development boards to ensure successful validation.

You will be responsible for debugging issues that arise during the validation process, utilizing your technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently. Your contributions will have a critical impact on getting functional products to millions of customers, as you help identify and rectify potential issues before they reach the market.
