Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in hardware engineering, particularly in CPU validation and testing. Your experience includes working closely with CPU RTL and DV teams to understand design changes and engineer test content for new CPU features. You possess solid programming skills in C and C++, and you are comfortable working in Linux environments. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to debug complex issues effectively.

You are familiar with creating validation test plans and ensuring comprehensive coverage of key features. Your ability to develop software workloads to stress test CPUs and integrate them into existing validation environments is a key asset. You have experience maintaining and improving random test generators, adding support for new CPU architectural and microarchitectural features.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the center of a chip design effort, collaborating with various disciplines to ensure the functional validation of CPUs. You will create CPU validation test plans, ensuring that all key features are covered. Your responsibilities will include developing software workloads to stress test the CPU and integrating these into existing validation environments. You will also drive the bring-up and execution of silicon validation tools in both pre-silicon (FPGAs) and post-silicon (development boards).

You will work closely with CPU RTL and DV teams to understand changes to CPU designs and engineer test content for new CPU features. Your role will involve debugging issues that arise during the validation process, ensuring that the CPUs meet the highest standards of functionality and performance. You will contribute to the overall success of the team by ensuring that the validation process is thorough and effective.
