Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in physical synthesis, with hands-on experience in developing and improving implementation flows from RTL through GDS signoff. Your expertise in scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or Perl allows you to create innovative solutions that push the boundaries of synthesis techniques. You are familiar with industry-standard synthesis tools like Fusion Compiler or Genus, and you understand the intricacies of optimizing performance, power, and area (PPA) results for cutting-edge processors.
You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering closely with design teams to address their specific challenges. Your ability to develop methodologies and optimized flows enables design teams to achieve breakthrough results. You are passionate about pushing beyond conventional limits and are eager to validate your techniques through comprehensive testing and validation flows.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the synthesis challenges that are critical to Apple Silicon projects. You will apply your hands-on skills to improve physical synthesis techniques through innovative scripts and automation. Your work will directly impact the performance of every iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as you develop methodologies and tools that enable design teams to achieve exceptional PPA results. You will collaborate with EDA vendors to shape tool roadmaps and build custom solutions that address complex synthesis problems. Your contributions will be integral to the success of Apple's next-generation CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs, ensuring they deliver breakthrough performance while maintaining industry-leading power efficiency.
