Job Description
Who you are
You have experience with TCL, Python, or Perl scripting languages — you've utilized these skills to develop innovative solutions in the field of physical synthesis. Your familiarity with industry-standard synthesis tools such as Fusion Compiler or Genus allows you to tackle complex challenges effectively.
You possess a strong understanding of the synthesis flow from RTL through GDS signoff — your expertise enables you to improve physical synthesis techniques through automation and innovative scripts. You are comfortable collaborating with design teams to define optimal methodologies and flows that lead to breakthrough performance.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the synthesis challenges that matter most to Apple Silicon — your contributions will directly impact the performance of every iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You will develop methodologies and tools that enable design teams to achieve significant improvements in power, performance, and area (PPA).
You will push beyond conventional synthesis limits by developing innovative techniques and validating their effectiveness through comprehensive flows from RTL to timing signoff. Your optimizations will translate into faster and more efficient Apple devices, making a tangible difference in the user experience.
You will work closely with EDA vendors to shape tool roadmaps and build custom solutions that address unique challenges — your insights will help push the boundaries of industry standards. You will see your work ship in millions of devices, making a significant impact on Apple's product offerings.
