You possess a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and thermal performance requirements, and you are adept at optimizing package structures for various types of chips.

You have experience implementing physical designs for System on Chip (SoC), Memory, RF, and cellular chips, and you are familiar with design verification and automation strategies. Your technical skills include proficiency in tools like AutoCAD and an understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles. You are also comfortable performing extraction of S-parameters and package RLGC models, ensuring that designs meet Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) requirements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own and drive the selection and optimization of sophisticated package structures for Apple's innovative products. You will be responsible for the physical design and layout of packages and modules, collaborating closely with various teams to analyze feasibility and design selection. Your work will involve defining and developing strategies for design verification and automation, streamlining the package design process, and ensuring that all designs meet stringent performance criteria.

You will interface with multi-functional groups throughout Apple, coordinating efforts to optimize package pinouts and drive designs for manufacturing. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of Apple's consumer electronics, making your role critical to the success of the company's hardware technology initiatives.
