Who you are

You have a strong background in CPU physical design methodologies and optimization techniques, with a focus on improving Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) metrics. Your experience includes working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including CPU, CAD, and design teams, to engineer new flows and algorithms that enhance CPU performance and efficiency.

You possess a solid understanding of physical design processes and are skilled in conducting detailed analyses to identify optimization opportunities across various design partitions. Your ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment is essential, as you will be influencing SOC teams and contributing to innovative technical areas.

Desirable

Experience applying machine learning techniques in the silicon design space is a plus, as is familiarity with industry-standard tools and methodologies for CPU design. You are proactive in seeking out new challenges and are committed to continuous improvement in your work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will contribute to the development of new physical design flows aimed at optimizing CPU performance and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with CPU, CAD, and design teams to engineer innovative algorithms that improve PPA metrics. Your responsibilities will include performing detailed analyses to understand optimization opportunities and working cross-functionally with teams such as STA, library, tech, and post-silicon to enhance optimization during the physical design phase.

You will also have the opportunity to influence the design process by providing insights and recommendations based on your analyses. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the success of Apple's CPU design initiatives, and you will be part of a highly visible team recognized for its innovative approach to CPU design.
