Who you are
You have over 5 years of industry experience in New Product Introduction, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Quality. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering, which has equipped you with the technical knowledge necessary for this role. You are a collaborative team member who thrives in cross-functional environments, working closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure product success. Your experience has taught you the importance of quality assurance and operational excellence in product development.
You possess strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, allowing you to identify potential issues early in the product lifecycle. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams ensures that everyone is aligned on project goals and timelines. You are passionate about driving innovation and improving processes, always looking for ways to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the Operations technical team during the development of the next generation of iPhone products. You will partner closely with various multi-functional teams throughout all phases of product development, ensuring that operational success is achieved through to mass production. Your responsibilities will include advising on design for manufacturability (DFm) and design for excellence (DFx), as well as collaborating with engineering teams to address any technical challenges that arise.
You will be instrumental in establishing quality standards and processes that align with Apple's commitment to excellence. Your role will require you to travel up to 30% to oversee production and ensure that quality benchmarks are met. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
