Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in large design STA and timing closure. Your programming skills in Perl and TCL enable you to create and maintain scripts and methodologies for analysis and runs. You are familiar with the important aspects of timing for large designs and have hands-on experience in STA, which allows you to effectively debug constraints and facilitate logic changes to improve timing.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design teams to understand and address timing issues. Your ability to analyze timing paths deeply helps you identify key issues and implement timing infrastructure effectively. You are committed to creating documentation and guidelines that enhance the team's methodologies and practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be directly responsible for the physical implementation of design partitions from netlist to tapeout for highly complex SOCs. You will collaborate with design teams to understand and debug constraints, facilitating logic changes that improve timing. Your work will involve creating timing ECOs for project tapeout and maintaining scripts for analysis and runs. You will also be responsible for documenting processes and helping establish best practices within the Physical Design team.

Your deep analysis of timing paths will be crucial in identifying key issues that could impact project timelines. You will implement timing infrastructure that supports the overall design process, ensuring that all aspects of timing are addressed effectively. Your contributions will play a significant role in delivering groundbreaking Apple products.
