Job Description

Who you are

You have over 4 years of technical management and leadership experience, demonstrating your ability to guide teams effectively. Your background in cloud systems engineering, network, and security equips you with the knowledge to lead a team focused on detection capabilities. You possess a strong working knowledge of modern cloud, endpoint, network, and browser defenses and controls, ensuring that you can address the security needs of the organization. You are comfortable collaborating with various stakeholders, including Engineering, IT, Legal, Sales, and Marketing, to align security initiatives with business objectives.

Desirable

Experience in building detection capabilities for security teams is a plus, as is familiarity with incident response processes. You thrive in environments that require cross-functional collaboration and have a track record of scaling teams and processes in rapidly expanding companies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the Detection Engineering team, providing the necessary resources and coaching to execute their tasks effectively. You will guide the articulation and execution of Asana Security’s detection program, which includes architecture, testing, reviews, and the implementation of security controls. Working directly with the Head of Security and other senior leaders, you will set the strategic direction for your team, ensuring alignment with the broader security goals of Asana.

You will build processes that scale Detection Engineering, particularly focusing on how incident response is handled within your team. Recruiting for your team will also be a key responsibility, as you define how the team evolves and interacts with the rest of the Security and Asana. Your role will involve working cross-functionally to align roadmaps and improve the overall security posture of Asana, ensuring that security measures are integrated seamlessly into the product development lifecycle.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals who are committed to building technology that drives positive change. The role is based in our Warsaw office, with a hybrid work model that allows for flexibility in your work schedule. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
