Axon is hiring a Retail Sales Director to drive strategy and expand their footprint into major national retailers. You'll own the P&L for the retail channel and negotiate complex agreements. This position requires a modern, data-driven sales leader with deep retail understanding.

You are a seasoned sales leader with a strong background in retail, possessing a deep understanding of both digital and physical sales environments. With a proven track record of driving strategy and expanding market presence, you know how to make products and brands stand out in competitive retail settings. Your experience includes managing P&L responsibilities and executing sales plans that align with retailer goals. You are adept at building relationships with retail partners, understanding their needs, and creating programs that meet sales objectives while ensuring mutual success.
You excel in negotiation, capable of navigating complex agreements and managing forecast accuracy. Your leadership style fosters a culture of transparency and high performance, empowering your team to achieve their best work. You are comfortable with data-driven decision-making and leverage analytics to inform your strategies. Your ability to connect with diverse perspectives from customers and colleagues alike enhances your effectiveness in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of the retail channel's P&L, driving strategic initiatives to expand Axon's presence in major national retailers. You will analyze retail partners deeply, understanding their goals and crafting tailored programs to meet sales objectives. Your responsibilities will include negotiating complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and ensuring that sales forecasts are accurate and actionable. You will act as a bridge between the brand and the customer, as well as between Sales and Legal/Finance teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
You will lead a team focused on achieving high performance, fostering an environment where transparency and accountability are paramount. Your role will require approximately 50% travel to engage with retail partners and support in-store initiatives. You will continuously assess market trends and competitor strategies, adapting your approach to maintain a competitive edge. Your leadership will be crucial in driving Axon's mission to protect life through innovative products and services.
