Who you are
You are a motivated individual with a strong interest in sales and a methodical approach to prospecting. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy creating fantastic first impressions with prospects and customers. Your organizational skills allow you to categorize and prioritize sales leads effectively, and you are comfortable using Salesforce to measure lead conversion and performance against quotas. You have a knack for researching companies and identifying key decision-makers, which helps you develop customized pitches tailored to different target accounts and personas.
Desirable
Experience in the biotechnology sector or familiarity with scientific concepts would be a plus, as it will help you communicate effectively with potential clients. A background in sales or customer service can also enhance your ability to follow up and qualify inbound requests efficiently.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building a robust pipeline for Account Executives by following up on and qualifying inbound requests and marketing qualified leads (MQLs) through telephone and email communication. You will work closely with Account Executives to drive outbound prospecting activities, which include cold calling and emailing potential clients to communicate Benchling's value proposition. Additionally, you will collaborate with the field marketing and sales teams to drive attendance at Benchling's field events, such as executive dinners and happy hours, and staff tradeshows to follow up on leads collected at the Benchling booth. Your contributions will be vital in helping Benchling unlock the power of biotechnology through modern software solutions.
