Who you are

5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field — you've successfully built and maintained reliable systems that support development workflows and enhance productivity. You have a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and are comfortable working in a highly regulated environment.

Deep expertise in AWS and monitoring tools like Datadog — you know how to leverage these technologies to ensure system performance and reliability. Your experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI allows you to streamline deployment processes effectively.

Proficient in programming languages such as Ruby and Go — you have a solid background in writing code that is efficient and maintainable. You understand the importance of building tools that empower engineers and improve their workflows.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset — you thrive in team environments and enjoy working closely with developers to identify pain points and implement solutions. Your communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with infrastructure as code tools and practices — familiarity with Terraform or similar tools would be a plus. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments is also beneficial.

What you'll do

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on the Developer Experience squad, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of engineering workflows. You'll build and maintain tools that facilitate smooth development processes, ensuring that engineers can focus on delivering high-quality code.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in system reliability and performance. Your work will involve implementing monitoring solutions that provide visibility into system health and performance metrics, allowing for proactive issue resolution.

In this role, you'll also be responsible for maintaining existing systems and improving their functionality. You'll work closely with developers to gather feedback and iterate on tools that enhance their productivity and effectiveness.
