Stellar Development Foundation is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability and scalability of their systems. You'll work with AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes to support the Stellar blockchain network. This position requires experience in maintaining high-availability environments.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field, with a strong background in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS and GCP allows you to design and secure scalable systems that support high-demand applications. You are proficient in Linux systems and have a solid understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes, enabling you to manage complex deployments effectively.
You are skilled in CI/CD practices and have hands-on experience with Jenkins and other automation tools, which helps streamline deployment processes for development teams. Your familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and ELK allows you to proactively manage system health and respond to incidents efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with developers to troubleshoot applications and enhance operational workflows.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the AWS and GCP infrastructure that powers the Stellar blockchain network. You will assist development teams in packaging, deploying, and troubleshooting applications, ensuring that they can focus on building great products. Your work will involve building, maintaining, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters, as well as migrating applications to Kubernetes to enhance scalability and reliability.
You will participate in design and code reviews, ensuring that the foundation for services is best in class. Your responsibilities will also include evaluating new technologies and implementing improvements to internal services. You will monitor, triage, and respond to alerts in high-availability environments, playing a critical role in maintaining system uptime and performance. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering teams at Stellar Development Foundation.
