Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong affinity for open source development and a passion for technology — you enjoy solving interesting technical problems and have experience in providing support for cloud environments. Your background includes working with Linux and troubleshooting complex issues, which allows you to provide expert-level support to customers leveraging Ubuntu and other open source products.

You thrive in a globally distributed team environment — you understand the dynamics of remote collaboration and are comfortable working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Your communication skills enable you to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You are a problem solver at heart — you enjoy the challenge of investigating issues, performing root cause analysis, and finding solutions that meet customer needs. Your analytical mindset helps you think differently and work smarter, continuously learning new skills along the way.

Desirable

Experience with cloud technologies and services is a plus — familiarity with public cloud providers and their offerings will enhance your ability to support customers effectively. Any certifications related to cloud computing or Linux will be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As a Cloud Support Engineer at Canonical, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving issues reported by customers using Ubuntu and open source products. You will engage with customers to understand their technical needs and provide solutions that enhance their experience with our products. Your role will involve triaging complex cloud environment issues, addressing Linux kernel crashes, and assisting with OS configuration problems.

You will collaborate with a global team of experts, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve support processes. Your contributions will help shape the next generation of Ubuntu solutions, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of satisfaction.
