Who you are

You have a strong background in asset management accounting and are comfortable working in a client-facing role. Your experience includes analyzing financial information and providing technical and operational accounting support to clients in the asset management industry. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside Big 4 auditors and client management to identify key issues and develop solutions. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering quality client service, with a high energy level that drives you to make a true business impact.

You possess knowledge of financial reporting, performance reporting, and fund accounting for private equity partnerships or similar product types. Your familiarity with fund/alternative investment accounting applications such as Investran, Geneva, Workiva, Allvue, or Yardi is a plus. You are ethical, dependable, and enjoy building strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the engagement process.

What you'll do

As a Consultant at CFGI, you will take ownership of projects from start to finish, gaining exposure to a wide range of engagements that address technical and operational challenges faced by clients in the asset management sector. You will participate in meetings, conduct interviews with client management, and write reports that summarize your findings and recommendations. Your role will involve handling accounting and financial operations in the asset management/private funds sector, including capital events, LP reporting, and fundraising activities.

You will also engage in research and documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards, ensuring that clients are informed and compliant with the latest regulations. Process improvement projects will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you implement changes that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will enjoy the flexibility of working in various locations, including office, remote, or client sites, depending on the specific engagement requirements.
