You have a strong background in technical revenue accounting with deep knowledge of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP — you thrive in ambiguous situations and exercise sound judgment in complex financial environments. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, and RevOps. Your analytical mindset allows you to translate accounting guidance into clear, scalable policies and processes that support business objectives. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of leading technical accounting analyses and supporting month-end close activities. You understand the importance of compliance while also considering the commercial impact of financial decisions.
What you'll do
As the Technical Revenue Accounting Lead, you will play a strategic role within Checkr's Finance Operations organization — your primary responsibility will be to partner with various business units to support compliant revenue growth. You will lead technical revenue accounting analyses and ensure that all revenue models align with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP. Your role will involve shaping how deals are structured and bringing new revenue models to market, ensuring that they are both compliant and efficient. You will also support month-end close activities, translating complex accounting guidance into actionable policies. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and FP&S to drive solutions that balance compliance and commercial impact. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of revenue accounting practices at Checkr, making a meaningful impact on the organization.
