You possess strong prospecting skills and are comfortable managing the full sales cycle — from prospecting to negotiation and closing deals. You are not just a salesperson; you are a trusted advisor who helps clients understand how Confluent's data streaming platform can transform their operations.

Desirable

Experience in technology sales or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with data streaming or cloud technologies. You are adaptable and open to learning, always looking for ways to improve your skills and contribute to the team's success.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the full sales cycle for net-new logos in your assigned territory — this includes prospecting, conducting discovery calls, designing solutions, negotiating terms, and closing deals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you propose align with client needs and deliver maximum value. Your role will involve identifying key decision-makers within prospective organizations and effectively communicating the benefits of Confluent's platform.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities and providing regular updates to management on your progress. Your consultative approach will help you uncover the unique challenges faced by each client, allowing you to tailor your sales strategy accordingly. You will leverage data and insights to drive your sales efforts and ensure that you are meeting or exceeding your targets.
