Confluent is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineering Consultant to drive technical evaluations in the sales process. You'll work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams, leveraging your expertise in Kafka and Big Data. Who you are
You have a strong background in solutions engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role. Your expertise in Kafka and Big Data technologies allows you to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative environments, asking hard questions and providing honest feedback to drive success.
You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys working closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. Your ability to articulate technical and product positioning clearly makes you a trusted advisor to both customers and internal teams. You are comfortable navigating the challenges of modern data streaming and are passionate about helping organizations leverage real-time data effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be the key technical advisor during the sales process, driving the technical evaluation stage and ensuring customer success. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, product management, and engineering teams to provide insights and guidance on the technical design and development of end-to-end solutions. Your role will involve engaging with prospects and customers, advocating for Confluent's products, and addressing any technical concerns they may have.
You will stay informed about the current state and future roadmap of Kafka in open source, identifying known issues and communicating upcoming fixes or workarounds to customers. Your responsibilities will also include conducting technical presentations and demonstrations, as well as participating in community discussions within the Kafka and Big Data ecosystems. You will play a vital role in shaping the customer experience and ensuring that Confluent's solutions meet their needs effectively.
