Overview

Confluera is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to collaborate with sales teams and partners on pre-sales technical activities. You'll work with endpoint and network security technologies, requiring strong communication skills and a background in sales engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in endpoint or network security, with experience in technologies such as AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, and firewalls. Your understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems allows you to articulate complex security problems to diverse audiences effectively. You are a strong communicator and a self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating with sales, marketing, support, and engineering teams. Your experience in sales engineering spans over 5 years, and you are comfortable training distributors and partners to ensure successful deployments.

Desirable

Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, and SANS are a plus, as they demonstrate your commitment to the field. Your ability to monitor and assess competitive situations and market developments in your region will be invaluable in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Confluera, you will collaborate closely with sales teams and partners, engaging in high-touch pre-sales technical activities. Your role will involve technically qualifying opportunities and conducting Proof of Value evaluations with end-user accounts and partners. You will help drive end-user acceptance and conversion of POVs into revenue, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.

You will also train distributor and partner sales engineers and staff in your region, acting as a liaison between partners/customers and corporate headquarters for technical issues and requirements. In conjunction with sales teams, you will aim to achieve and exceed assigned quarterly revenue targets, leveraging your technical expertise to support sales efforts.

Your responsibilities will include capturing the latest product information and details to be utilized for Assessment Reports and end-users, as well as assisting in marketing activities as appropriate in your region. You will continuously monitor, assess, and report on the competitive landscape, ensuring that Confluera remains a leader in the security space.
