Who you are
You have a strong background in cybersecurity and networking, with experience in incident response and process optimization. You thrive in environments where you can work independently and are driven by results. Your strategic thinking allows you to assess and improve clients' cybersecurity postures effectively. You are familiar with tools like Zeek and Suricata, and you understand how to leverage them for threat detection and response. You possess a TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, which is essential for this role. Your ability to educate clients on the use of Zeek logs and alerts demonstrates your expertise and commitment to enhancing their security measures.
Desirable
Experience working with federal clients or in a professional services capacity is a plus. Familiarity with packet brokers and other network security tools will help you excel in this position. You are comfortable designing and implementing technical solutions in collaboration with ecosystem partners, which enhances your ability to deliver value to clients.
What you'll do
As a Senior Professional Services Engineer at Corelight, you will prepare and validate equipment configurations for new installations, ensuring that clients have the right setup for optimal security. You will develop content for anomaly and hunt detections, which is crucial for proactive threat hunting. Your role will involve assessing the overall health of the Corelight infrastructure at client locations, providing insights that help improve their cybersecurity posture. You will educate clients on the effective use of Zeek logs and Suricata alerts, empowering them to respond to incidents more effectively. Collaborating with the Federal Professional Services team, you will contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance client security and streamline processes. Your work will directly impact how clients manage and mitigate cybersecurity risks, making a significant difference in their operations.
