You have a strong background in managing customer engagements, ideally within the technology or retail sectors. Your experience includes working closely with clients to understand their needs and ensuring they derive maximum value from the services provided. You excel in communication and collaboration, effectively partnering with sales, customer success, and product teams to drive customer satisfaction and engagement. You are adept at identifying opportunities for upselling and extending services based on customer requirements and business value.
You possess a strategic mindset, capable of scoping and estimating project requirements while developing comprehensive statements of work. Your ability to navigate complex customer relationships and deliver results is complemented by your understanding of the Databricks platform and its applications in retail. You are committed to exceeding customer expectations and fostering long-term partnerships.
Desirable
Experience in professional services or training engagements is a plus, as is familiarity with the Databricks platform or similar technologies. A background in retail or customer success management will enhance your ability to connect with clients and understand their unique challenges.
What you'll do
As an Engagement Manager at Databricks, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing relationships with Retail customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that customers are effectively utilizing the Databricks platform to achieve their business objectives. You will orchestrate engagements from initial vision through to delivery, ensuring that all aspects of the customer experience are managed seamlessly.
You will collaborate closely with sales and customer success teams to identify new service opportunities and articulate the business value of these offerings to clients. Your role will involve consulting with clients to define engagement scope, requirements, and benefits, ensuring that all projects are aligned with customer goals.
In addition to managing customer relationships, you will be responsible for tracking and meeting professional services and training bookings and revenue targets. You will engage early in the sales process to understand customer needs, helping to shape proposals and project plans that meet their expectations.
Your strategic position will require you to work cross-functionally with various teams, including support and product, to deliver excellence at every stage of the customer journey. You will be instrumental in ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service and support throughout their engagement with Databricks.
