Who you are

You have a proven track record in a Pre Sales Manager role, developing and managing successful teams of Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals. Your experience in scaling and mentoring field and technical teams from scratch, both onshore and offshore, sets you apart. You excel at building collaborative cultures within rapid-growth teams and understand the importance of aligning technical solutions with business needs. Your ability to communicate complex, business value-focused solutions makes you an expert in supporting complex sales cycles. You are customer-obsessed and thrive in environments that promote teamwork and diversity.

Desirable

Experience with Digital Native companies or ecosystems is a plus, as is a strong understanding of the sales process and how to effectively coach new sales and pre-sales team members. You are adept at building relationships with key stakeholders in customer organizations and have a knack for promoting a solution and value-based selling approach.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the hiring and building of a pre-sales team of Solutions Architects, focusing on your assigned accounts. You will rapidly scale the designated Field Engineering segment organization without sacrificing quality. Your leadership will enhance your team's effectiveness, and you will be involved in guiding them through complex sales cycles. You will work closely with the sales organization to close revenue with the right approach, ensuring that your team is well-equipped to meet customer needs. Building Databricks' brand in partnership with the Marketing and Sales teams will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also support the increase of Return on Investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles by 2-3x over 18 months, demonstrating the value of your team's contributions.
