Who you are

You have extensive experience in technical solutions engineering, particularly with Apache Spark™ and related technologies. Your deep understanding of Spark core internals, Spark SQL, and Structured Streaming allows you to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. You possess excellent customer communication skills, enabling you to guide clients through their Databricks journey and help them achieve their strategic objectives.

You are adept at performing initial analysis and troubleshooting issues using Spark UI metrics, DAG, and Event Logs. Your expertise in memory management, performance tuning, and data integration areas in Spark equips you to address customer challenges efficiently. You are also familiar with developing tools and automation initiatives that enhance customer experiences.

What you'll do

In this role, you will provide in-depth technical consulting for customers facing challenges with Apache Spark™ and the Databricks unified analytics platform. You will assist clients in setting up reproducible Spark problems and suggest solutions that leverage Spark core libraries and APIs. Your responsibilities will include performing deep code-level analysis of Spark to resolve customer issues and providing best practices guidance around Spark runtime performance.

You will participate in the Designated Solutions Engineer program, driving day-to-day Spark and Cloud issues for strategic customers. Your contributions will help customers realize value from their Databricks investments and achieve their goals through effective use of the platform. You will also collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall customer experience and ensure successful outcomes.
