Job Description
Who you are
You have over 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, ideally in pre-sales, professional services, consulting, or customer success. Your background includes a strong understanding of data engineering technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka, which you have utilized to solve complex data problems. You are also familiar with data science and machine learning technologies, including pandas and scikit-learn, and have experience with SQL for data warehousing. Your solid understanding of the end-to-end data analytics workflow allows you to effectively assist customers in deploying new use cases on the Databricks platform.
You possess excellent time management and prioritization skills, enabling you to manage multiple customer onboardings simultaneously. Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus, as it enhances your ability to guide customers in making the best technical decisions. You are eager to become an expert on the Databricks platform and are committed to helping customers achieve their goals through effective onboarding and deployment strategies.
Desirable
A Databricks Certification would be a nice addition to your qualifications, showcasing your commitment to mastering the platform and providing exceptional service to customers.
What you'll do
In your role as a Senior Technical Services Engineer at Databricks, you will play a critical role in the customer journey by directly working with clients to help them onboard and deploy the Databricks platform in a production environment. You will be responsible for onboarding new customers and assisting existing ones in deploying new use cases, ensuring they maximize the value of the Lakehouse platform. Your expertise will guide customers in making informed technical decisions that align with their business objectives.
You will actively track and report on the progress of multiple customer onboardings, ensuring that each client receives the support they need to succeed. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams within Databricks to address customer needs and provide tailored solutions. You will also engage in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest features and best practices related to the Databricks platform, enabling you to provide the highest level of service.
